Police investigating the fatal hit and run crash on Great North Road in the early hours of yesterday morning have arrested and charged a 24 year-old Pt Chevalier construction worker with assault. He is due to appear in the Auckland District Court today.
The vehicle Police believe was involved in the fatal crash that left 30 year-old Avondale resident Uilisuni Ofa dead at the scene near Oakley Ave shortly after 1am, was recovered yesterday afternoon from a Pt Chevalier address and is undergoing forensic examination.
