Title: High-Risk Offender Believed To Be On The Run Up The North Island
Wellington Police are appealing for any sightings of a convicted and high-risk child sex offender.
Multiple warrants to arrest have been issued for 47-year-old Darren Albert JOLLY for alleged breaches of an extended supervision order which included 24/7 electronic monitoring.
On Wednesday last week he fled his Wellington address heading north. Police believe he has taken a vehicle from a Kapiti car dealership later that day.
Police are appealing for any sightings of this vehicle which is a blue Honda Civic sedan registration AYT134.
The public are warned that JOLLY has a history of failing to stop and driving dangerously at extremely high speeds to avoid being arrested.
Police believe he has been in Taupo and Hamilton and will be heading for Auckland. He has known connections in Wellington, Taranaki, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and Auckland.
Anyone with any information about JOLLY and his whereabouts should phone Wellington Police on (04) 381 2000 or provide information anonymously through Crimestoppers by phoning 0800 555 111.
