Mail Theft Fraud Charges

On Friday 9th November 2012 Queenstown Police , as a result of an ongoing investigation and with assistance from NZ Post , arrested a 32 year old local woman for theft of mail from the Fernhill Area , Queenstown .
The thefts had been occurring over a two year period and Police have recovered a substantial amount of mail including parcels and letters from the woman's Frankton Road address.
The investigation is continuing and Police are hoping with the assistance of NZ Post to be able to return the stolen items as soon as possible .
Police would like any person in the Fernhill area who believes they are missing mail to contact NZ Post Customer Service Centre 0800 501 501.
The woman will be appearing in the Queenstown District court on Monday 12th November 2012 . Further charges are likely.
