Fatal Crash Dargaville

Fatal Crash
At about 01.35am on Sunday the 11th day of November, 2012 a Subaru sedan motor vehicle was travelling northbound on Pouto Road, Aoroa, Dargaville. The vehicle was carrying seven passengers at the time.
The vehicle lost control on a moderate 'S' bend and landed on its roof in a deep ditch at the side of the road.
A 22year old Dargaville male died at the scene. Three male passengers were airlifted to Northland Base Hospital with serious injuries. Three further males were transported by Ambulance to Dargaville with moderate injuries.
At the time the weather was fine, road was dry and the traffic was light.
Police believe that alcohol and speed were contributing factors.
