Serious assault in Wainuiomata overnight
Police are appealing for any witnesses to a serious assault in Wainuiomata overnight.
Just after midnight, two males have become involved in an altercation with another party in a blue four-door sedan vehicle outside the Caltex Service Station on The Strand.
The two males exited the vehicle and began fighting with the other two males.
After the incident the vehicle has fled the scene at high speed.
The 27-year-old male victim has been left with serious injuries and has been taken to hospital in a critical condition.
Police are appealing for anyone who was at the Service Station when this occurred or who may have been in the area and witnessed what happened to come forward.
