Not Too Late To Make Civic Award Nominations

Not Too Late To Make Civic Award Nominations

19 OCTOBER 2012

For Immediate Release

The deadline is fast approaching, but it’s not too late for Hamilton residents and organisations to nominate people for the city’s Civic Awards. Up to 20 awards are bestowed every year, recognising individuals’ significant contributions to Hamilton in the fields such as community work, volunteer roles, business, sport and education.

Hamilton Mayor Julie Hardaker says this year the nomination process has been made quicker and easier through a new online form.

“Our new online nomination form is a smart and modern way for people to make nominations, and it’s easy to locate on our www.hamilton.co.nz website,” says Mayor Hardaker.

“The Civic Awards celebrate and honour passionate and committed Hamiltonians from many different sectors of the community, and I encourage the city’s residents to nominate people they believe are worthy recipients.” Nominations close on October 24.
