Check for Labour Day changes to rubbish and recycling collections
Auckland Council is reminding residents and businesses to check for changes to some kerbside rubbish, recycling and paper collection schedules after Labour Day.
In most areas, collections will be one day later than usual, after the public holiday on Monday 22 October. Full details can be found on the council’s website.
Rubbish bins and bags should be put out by 7.00am on the relevant day, along with recycling wheelie bins unless otherwise advised.
Standard collection schedules resume from Monday 29 October.
Please note there are no changes for the following collections:
- Waitakere and the North Shore: no changes for businesses’ evening kerbside rubbish bag and paper collections
- Auckland CBD: no changes to kerbside rubbish, recycling, paper and cardboard collections
- Parnell and Newmarket: no changes to Thursday night rubbish collections.
Residents using private collection services should contact their suppliers to find out about their service schedules on and following the public holiday.
