All Black Legend to ‘Get Real’ About Men’s Health

All Black Legend to ‘Get Real’ About Men’s Health at Chartwell Library 27 September 2012

All Black legend Wayne ‘Buck’ Shelford will be visiting Hamilton’s Chartwell Library in October to encourage men to take their health seriously.

Shelford – whose new book ‘Buck Up: The Real Bloke’s Guide to Getting Healthy and Living Longer’ outlines his own personal health struggles including his battle with lymphatic cancer and his recent weight loss – will be holding a talk at Chartwell Library on Monday, 8 October from 6pm7.30pm.

Hamilton City Libraries’ Community Outreach Librarian Tracy Robinson said: “Chartwell Library is excited to be hosting Buck Shelford and helping to support men’s health. We encourage the public to come along to hear from one of our most iconic All Blacks and make their health and that of their loved ones a priority.”

Copies of ‘Buck Up: The Real Bloke’s Guide to Getting Healthy and Living Longer’ will be available for purchase courtesy of Poppies Queenwood, and Shelford will be available to sign books on the night.

The event will be free to attend, with gold coin donation appreciated. Spaces are limited to the first 300 people.
