Coyle Park Arson
Between 6.00pm on Friday 17 August 2012 and 9.00am on Saturday 18 August 2012, the toilet block at Coyle Park Reserve in Pt Chevalier Auckland was extensively vandalised.
The vandalism included destroying a number of fixtures and fittings inside the toilet block and setting part of the building on fire.  The building would likely have been lost had it not been for the heavy rain that fell during the time the fire was set.
The Reserve and toilet block are a well used community facility and the block is likely to be closed for a significant period to enable repairs to be carried out.
Information is sought from the public to aid Police in the identification of the people responsible.
