Celebrity chef Ray McVinnie joins F.A.W.C! Hawke's Bay Food and Wine Classic


Hawke’s Bay Tourism has announced New Zealand celebrity chef and Masterchef judge Ray McVinnie as the official ambassador for F.A.W.C!-the Food and Wine Classic in Hawke’s Bay.

F.A.W.C! is a collection of unique food and wine experiences that can only be had in Hawke’s Bay with the Summer series in November with the winter series planned for June 2013.

F.A.W.C! commences with the opening function on Friday November 2nd and will close the following Sunday 11th, with most of the activity centred around the weekends.

Hawke’s Bay Tourism General Manager Annie Dundas says “F.A.W.C! is a celebration of Hawke’s Bays premium produce and award winning wines and we are delighted to have such a respected and renowned culinary expert as Ray McVinnie to head up our event. We have some of the most spectacular settings in which to host a series of food and wine events and we hope having Ray on board will strengthen the message that F.AW.C ! is an absolute ‘must do’ for New Zealand food and wine lovers”

Ray McVinnie said he was excited to join the event. “F.A.W.C! is a fresh new event series on the New Zealand food and wine scene. Hawke’s Bay is synonymous with great food and wine and I am thrilled to be involved ”

McVinnie will be on hand to host several of the weekend’s events as well as be sharing his recipes and tips with F.A.W.C! goers.
