Firearms stolen from West Coast house
Greymouth Police are seeking help from the public in locating five firearms which were stolen over the weekend.
In the early hours on Sunday 6 November 2011 a house in Inchbonnie, Grey District was entered and the firearms were stolen.
The firearms
are described as:
• A Winchester Model 70 .270
calibre with a Leopold scope, black barrel and a light clamp
on the scope.
• A Remington Nitro Pump Action
Shotgun with a black stock and barrel with synthetic coating
all over.
• A Benneil semi-auto 12-gauge shotgun
with a black synthetic coating all over and the barrel was
slightly worn.
• An old style side-by side shotgun
with a double trigger and a wooden stock.
• A
Savage .22 calibre rifle fitted with a silencer and a BSA
scope.
Both the Savage .22 calibre rifle and the Winchester Model 70 .270 calibre are missing their respective bolts.
Police urge anyone with any information regarding this theft and / or the firearms to contact the Greymouth Police on 03 7681600.
