Post-mortem examination being carried out on body of deceased woman
A post-mortem examination is being carried out today on the body of a woman who died at a Raukawa Street address in Strathmore yesterday.
Police were called to a family violence incident at the address just after 11:30am. The woman died at the scene a short time after receiving multiple stab wounds.
The body of the deceased has been formally identified and is that of 42 year old Eman Hurmiz.
Acting Wellington Area Commander Detective Inspector Stephen Vaughan says, “A man aged in his 50’s, who also received injuries during the incident remains in a critical condition in Wellington Hospital’s Intensive Care Unit.”
“A thorough scene examination is continuing throughout the course of the day and a number of Detectives are completing an area canvas, talking to neighbours and witnesses.”
