Upper Hutt Police investigate arson at Timberlea Community Hall
Upper Hutt Police are investigating an arson in Timberlea which occurred late last night.
Police were called to the Timberlea Community Hall in Norana Road, Timberlea, at about 11:15pm.
Upper Hutt CIB Detective Raewyn Smellie says there was extensive damage to the two front doors but fortunately there was no structural or internal damage.
"Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen the fire or anything suspicious late last night. Anyone with information should phone Upper Hutt Police on (04) 527 2300 or phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
