Witnesses sought to tavern incident
Police are seeking any witnesses to an incident at the Glenbyre Tavern, Bromley at about 10pm on Friday, 16 October 2009.
Detective Constable Jayne Bretherton says she'd like to hear from anyone who was at the Glenbyre Tavern on that night who may have witness the incident or know who the offender is.
"The victim has been playing pool in the tavern but when he has gone to leave the bar, he has been punched and fallen to the ground sustaining a significant head injury," she says.
The offender is described as a male, Maori, aged 20-25 years and of slim build. He was wearing blue sleeveless overalls with elastic straps and a front zip, with possible patches of white coloured paint or concrete on the front of them.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Bretherton, phone 3637941.
