Wellington Firebirds team to play Auckland Aces named
The Wellington Firebirds team to play the Auckland Aces in the second round of the 2009/10 Plunket Shield at the Allied Nationwide Finance Basin Reserve, starting Tuesday 17 November at 10.30am, is:

Stewart Rhodes

Cameron Merchant
Chris Nevin
Neal Parlane
Illi Tugaga
Jeetan Patel
Robbie Schaw

Thirteen players have been named, with the playing XI to be finalised on the morning of the match.
In two changes to the squad from the team that drew with the Canterbury Wizards last week, all-rounder Stewart Rhodes replaces Grant Elliott and opening bowler Tugaga comes in for Iain O’Brien.
Elliott and O’Brien, along with James Franklin, are playing for the New Zealand invitation XI against Pakistan in a three-day match starting on Wednesday. Elliott is also the captain of this side.
The Firebirds and the Aces both drew their opening round games last week. The Firebirds drew with the Canterbury Wizards and the Aces finished level with the Central Stags in Napier.
