Title: Victim of shooting stable
Christchurch Police investigating the shooting of a man last night have located everyone of immediate interest to the inquiry says acting Detective Inspector David Long. No one has been charged as yet.
The 24 year old male victim is reported to be in a serious but stable condition in hospital after surgery.
Police are still seeking the firearm, believed to be a pistol.
The scene examination at Marine Parade, New Brighton where a burnt out vehicle was located has been completed and the vehicle removed. The Radley Street scene is also complete. Police are still working on the scene at a Gould Street address and this will continue tomorrow.
Another vehicle which is believed to have taken the victim to hospital around midnight has been located and is also being examined.
The Police inquiry will continue over the weekend.
