Still time to give ‘doggy’ a special day out
Due to popular demand Manukau Parks have extended their Doggy Day Out events until the end of daylight saving.
Park Ranger Kristen Ross is delighted with the response so far with lots of devoted owners and their canine companions taking the opportunity to get out in the fresh air.
“This is a great opportunity for owners and their dogs to socialise and get some exercise. The event is sponsored by Purina who have supplied giveaway goodie bags as a special treat for well behaved dogs”, says Ms Ross.
Dogs that are easily controlled will be able to run free during the event; however Ms Ross says owners with hard to control dogs must keep them on the leash.
