Environment Canterbury has approved $175,000 of funding for biodiversity projects in the Canterbury region for the 2008 funding round of the Environment Enhancement Fund.
A total of 87 applications were received for the 2008 funding round by the closing date of August 31. Requests ranged from protecting remnant areas of indigenous bush, wetland and stream restoration to amenity plantings. Five projects were funded to the maximum allowable limit.
