Aggravated Robbery In Wellington

At 02:10am Saturday the 20th December 2008 an aggravated robbery was committed at the Gourmet Express Pie Cart situated outside the Wellington Railway Station,Bunny Street,Wellington
A lone male threatened staff members with a knife and stole cash from the till before speeding off in a red station wagaon vehicle which had no registration plates.
A red Ford Telstar station wagon with no registration plates was subsequently fould by police in Victoria Street, Wellington.
Police immediately launched an investigation and a 23year old man has been arrested and charged with Aggravated Robbery. H will appear at Wellington District court on Monday 22nd December.
Detective Sergeant Murphy said 'people can become desperate at this time of year however this type of offence can be extremely traumatic to victims so police are absolutely determined to identify and prosecute those responsible'
