Fatal Accident In Dargaville

Fatal Accident
At approximately 10 am on Saturday the 20th December 2008 a 17 year old female fell off the back of a Ute that was driving on Ripiro Beach, Dargaville.
As a result of this fall she sustained a significant head injury.
She was transported to the Dargaville Medical centre, and then transferred to Whangarei Hospital by helicopter.
She died at the Whangarei Hospital early this morning.
Police enquiries are continuing and are appealing to any members of the public who may have witnessed this incident to contact the Dargaville Police.
