Sudden Death In Auckland
Auckland City Police are investigating the sudden death of a 45 year old man.
The man, who was part of the Auckland Homeless Community, fell 5 metres and was found dead on Custom Street West, under the Downtown carpark off ramp.
Investigation head, Detective Senior Sergeant Whitley says ' we are currently trying to establish the circumstances of this incident. There is a fairly good chance that the deceased hit a parked vehicle on his fall'.
'Police have spoken to three people known to the deceased that were present at the time of the incident. Two members of the public have also provided information about what they saw at the scene', he said.
The investigation will continue and a post-mortem will be conducted on Monday 22 December 2008.
