Top Town finals tomorrow - get in the crowd
The final filming day of television show Top Town is on tomorrow at Jellie Park.
Tickets are still available for purchase to be in the audience and seen on screen as the hit TV show goes to air in February.
The knock-out competition has been fierce over the past week with 15 teams from around the country competing in Christchurch to take the title of New Zealand's Top Town.
The Top Town finals will go out with a big splash tomorrow as the teams make their way through the extreme course in a race for victory.
The modernised obstacle course has already claimed its victims proving that this year's new course will show no mercy - no matter how fit or strong the team.
Set up like a floating playground in Jellie Park's outdoor pool, teams have been battling it out to make it across in the fastest time possible.
What was a hit TV show back in the 90's has made a comeback with a new modernised look and a more challenging course.
The entertaining show this year includes towns competing from: Ashburton, Gisborne, Gore, Greymouth, Masterton, Motueka, Oamaru, Otorohanga, Papakura, Queenstown, Taupo, Timaru, Whakatane, Whangarei and the host city Christchurch.
Jeff Latch, TVNZ's Head of Television says that the network is delighted to be bringing back the popular and much loved hit show.
"We have been asked for years to bring back Top Town and we think that now is a great time to modernise the show which was so entertaining for families for much of the 70s through to the mid 90s," says Latch.
Filming is taking place at Jellie Park Sports & Recreation Centre for the final day tomorrow, Thursday 4 December.
As host city, locals have the opportunity to see live who will win the competition and who will be wiped out and left swimming back to their town
Tickets can be purchased from Jellie Park Recreation Centre or Christchurch City Council Civic Offices at $10 for adults and $6 children.

Jellie Park will re-open on Friday 5 December for public use of the pools.
