Overnight motorway closures
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements and maintenance. Closures start at 9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed on or before the contingency date.
NORTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)
* Northbound motorway lanes between Onewa Road off-ramp and Onewa Road on-ramp 3 – 4 December
Contingency: 7 December
AUCKLAND HARBOUR BRIDGE (SH1)
* Curran Street on-ramp and Auckland Harbour Bridge lanes one and two northbound 3 – 6 December (approx. 7pm – 5.30am)
SOUTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)
* Takanini northbound on and off-ramp 3 – 4 December (10pm – 5.30am)
* Southbound motorway lanes between Cook Street off-ramp and Hobson Street on-ramp 3 – 4 December
* Market Road southbound off-ramp 2 December
Contingency: 11 December
NORTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH16)
* Port to SH1 link northbound 3 December
* Great North Road eastbound off-ramp 3 December
Contingency: 24 December
STATE HIGHWAY 16 AND 18
* Westbound motorway lanes between Upper Harbour Highway and Paul Matthews Road 3 December
* Albany Highway westbound on-ramp 3 December
Contingency: 4 December
* All lanes between Royal Road, Oreil Avenue and Don Buck Road 3 – 4 December
Contingency: 18 December
SOUTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH20)
* Rimu Road northbound on-ramp 3 – 6 December
Contingency: 7 December
LOCAL ROADS
* Mt Hobson Road between Mt Hobson Lane and Market Road 2 December
Contingency: 11 December
