STATEMENT FROM
Auckland Children’s Christmas Parade Trust
The Trust Board is pleased that the Auckland High Court has declined Falun Dafa’s application for an injunction requiring organisers to allow them into this year’s parade.
Falun Dafa has not been singled out for special treatment. The Trust Board strongly believes that the Santa Parade should not provide a platform for political, special interest or other groups with an advocacy profile. That is why it has rejected Falun Dafa’s application to join the parade. The Auckland Farmers Santa Parade is a fun-filled event for families and a politics-free zone.
The Trust can now focus on putting on a fantastic event for the children of Auckland. We now look forward to a wonderful 75th Anniversary Farmers Christmas Parade – the parade kicks off at 2pm this Sunday 30 November.
