Suspicious Death In Tokoroa

Tokoroa Police were this morning called to a house in Tokoroa where the body of a man had been found.
The dead man lived at the house with other family members.
The exact cause of the man's death is yet to be established however, Police are treating the investigation as a suspicious death.
Members the man's family are helping Police to piece together his movements since last evening when he was last seen alive.
The name of the dead man will not be released until members of the extended family have been told of the death. This is expected to be later today or early tomorrow.
A post mortem examination will be scheduled once Police and ESR scientists have completed an examination of the house.
Police from Taupo and Turangi are assisting Tokoroa staff with the investigation.
The cordon around the property and neighbouring streets will remain in place until Police have completed their work at the scene.
Police apologise for any inconvenience to local residents.
