Tree Decorating Fiesta

The Mount Eden Village Mainstreet and Business Association present:
Tree Decorating Fiesta
Santa’s naughty helpers are calling for young assistants to decorate dozens of baby Christmas trees! Every tree completed gets a prize and can be carried home by the young helper!
Imaginations will be running wild on Saturday 6th December as the Village Green hosts the Tree Decorating Fiesta, celebrating the spirit of Christmas with an event assured to bring together the community of both young and old.
Santa’s helpers will provide materials for kids and parents to create their own decorations, crafting their own unique designs and, perhaps, their own spin on what Christmas for them is all about. The kids can choose their baby tree, then decorate it and collect a prize on completion - and then take their little Christmas tree home!
This seasonal tradition continues from last year’s successful fiesta, which saw the Village Green blossoming with decorated Christmas trees.
The whole green will be covered with the knee high festive trees with plenty of materials for all to share or swap amongst each other for their own personalized touch in Mt. Eden.
Nothing beats the smell of a real Christmas tree, and with such a worthy cause involved for the fiesta, there will be more than a few angels and stars hanging on the trees – the community and festive spirit bringing everyone together for the Maxine van der Velden Memorial Charitable Trust.
The TREE DECORATING FIESTA is another event much like the Village Spring Thing and Halloween Mayhem and Malarkey, which have been designed to raise funds for the trust which offers scholarships to talented young people all over the Auckland region.
