Overnight motorway closures
The NZ Transport Agency advises of the following closures for motorway improvements and maintenance. Closures start at
9pm and finish at 5am, unless otherwise stated. Work delayed by bad weather will be completed on or before the
contingency date.
NORTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)
• Southbound lanes between Esmonde Road off-ramp and Onewa Road on-ramp closed from 22 to 23 October
• Esmonde Road southbound on-ramp closed from 22 to 23 October
• Onewa Road northbound off-ramp closed from 19 to 21 October
Contingency: 26 October
• Northbound lanes between Greville Road off-ramp and Oteha Valley Road on-ramp closed 23 October
Contingency: 13 November
• Curran Street on-ramp and Auckland Harbour Bridge lanes one and two northbound closed from 25 to 27 October (7pm
Saturday – 10am Monday)
• Curran Street on-ramp and Auckland Harbour Bridge lanes one and two northbound closed 27 October (10pm – 5.30am)
SOUTHWESTERN MOTORWAY (SH20)
• Neilson Street northbound on and off-ramps closed from 22 to 25 October
• Northbound lanes between Neilson Street off-ramp and Queenstown Road closed from 22 to 25 October
• Mahunga Drive southbound off-ramp closed from 22 to 25 October

SOUTHERN MOTORWAY (SH1)
• Southbound lanes between East Tamaki Road off-ramp and East Tamaki Road on-ramp closed 23 October
Contingency: 24 October
• Northbound lanes between Takanini off-ramp and Redoubt Road on-ramp closed 22 October
Contingency: 13 November
CENTRAL MOTORWAY JUNCTION
• Port to SH1 link northbound closed 22 October
Contingency: 23 October
LOCAL ROADS
• Rimu Road, Mangere Bridge westbound between Miro Road and Coronation Road closed from 22 to 25 October
Contingency: 28 October
