Marine Search - man missing at sea

Rescue services are searching the inner Hauraki gulf for a man who is missing following a boating accident last night. A 5 metre fibreglass boat with two men aboard is beieved to have sunk about 1 hour before dark last night (Sunday). The alarm was raised at about 8:30am today when one of the men was found alive on Browns Island.
There has been no sign of the second man. The missing man is believed to be in his 20's and was wearing a lifejacket. The rescued man has been picked up by the Police Launch Deodar III and is believed to be cold but uninjured. Police and coastguard boats, and helicopters from the Police Air Support Unit and Westpac Rescue are involved in the search. No details of the occupants of the boat will be released until families have been notified.
