MEDIA RELEASE 29 August 2008
Christchurch residents offered special Ellerslie Flower Show ticket price
Specially priced tickets for Christchurch residents to attend next year’s Ellerslie International Flower Show go on sale on Monday (1 September).
For the month of September, Christchurch residents and ratepayers will be able to purchase up to four tickets at $22 each to attend the first Christchurch-hosted Ellerslie Flower Show in March 2009, says Christchurch Mayor Bob Parker.
“This special Christchurch ratepayer/resident offer recognises that with Council last year buying the Show, the Ellerslie International Flower Show is now owned by the people of Christchurch.
“We want to make it easy and affordable for as many of our residents as possible to attend next year’s event which is shaping up to be the best Show yet.”
He says it’s important residents remember this special offer is only for the month of September so they need to get in quick.
Tickets will be available from Council’s Service Centres or by phoning the Customer Call Centre on 941 8999. There will be no booking fee.
