New Zealand Police Alert 12:00pm 4 Aug 2008 Waitemata
Location of incident: North Shore City
Incident type: OPERATION CORRICVALE
OPERATION CORRICVALE Kidnapping of Cina MA, 14-18/07/08.
The Defendant Deqiong DENG aka Aaron DENG and his legal team have withdrawn their application for continued name suppression that was to have been heard today. This essentially means that from today's date his name is no longer suppressed and can be published. His next appearance is the 28th of August 2008 for pre-depositions. He remains in custody and I understand that the issue of filming and publication of images in court will be addressed on that date. It is unlikely that the Police will be making any submissions in regards to that issue.
