There are no reported problems in Christchurch due to the truckies protest says Police.
"We've had no complaints from the public either," says Sgt Les McKay. "The truck drivers have all acted very responsibly and for that we thank them."
The last of the trucks are heading into Moorehouse Avenue and it is expected to be another hour before they all clear the city.
