Manukau Leisure Services Ltd appoints CEO
Manukau Leisure Services Ltd has appointed Brett Jude as chief executive officer.
Mr Jude is the current general manager of the company and has led the establishment of it as a council-controlled organisation over the past year.
“We are delighted to announce this appointment,” says Dr Stuart Middleton, chairman of the Board of Directors of MLSL. “Mr Jude not only has wide experience in the recreation and leisure industry but also has shown a long and energetic commitment to the communities of Manukau.”
Manukau Leisure Services Ltd was established one year ago through the creation of leisure services section of Manukau City Council. It operates community recreation and leisure facilities throughout Manukau City. As a council-controlled organisation it works to do this to high standards and in an economically efficient manner.
“The appointment of Mr Jude as chief executive has enabled the Board to bring together in this position, sound knowledge of the community, an established working relationship with the council, a set of strong networks throughout Manukau City and demonstrated leadership of the talented team at Manukau Leisure Services Ltd.
“As we approach the end of the first successful year we can, having made this appointment, now make concrete the long term plans for maintaining and developing quality and accessible recreation and leisure programmes and facilities across the city.”
