At 1203pm on the 27 June 2008 Police were called to an address in Morley Avenue Christchurch. It is believed that a woman is being held hostage by a male with a firearm. Police armed offenders are in attendance. The surrounding area has been cordoned by police units and the public are advised that no one will be allowed into the area until the situation is resolved.
