SH1 Northern Motorway traffic bulletin
Sunday 8 - Thursday 12 June
Transit New Zealand advises motorists of the following upcoming closures for work on the Northern Motorway (SH1):
FULL MOTORWAY
Sunday 8 - Thursday 12 June
* SH1 motorway lanes northbound between Onewa Rd off-ramp and Onewa Rd on-ramp closed each night from 10pm until 5am for bridge works.
Onewa Rd westbound will also be closed.
Detours via Onewa Rd northbound off-ramp and Onewa Rd northbound on-ramp or Sylvan Ave to Onewa Rd.
RAMP AND LINK CLOSURES
TRISTRAM AVE
Sunday 8 - Thursday 12 June
* Tristram Ave southbound off-ramp closed each night from 10pm until 5am for crash cushion installation.
Detour via Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp.
Sunday 8 - Thursday 12 June
* Tristram Ave westbound between Forrest Hill Rd and the motorway closed each night from 10pm until 5am for crash cushion installation.
Tristram Ave southbound on-ramp may also be closed.
Detours via Forrest Hill Rd and Wairau Rd to Northcote Rd or Tristram Ave.
ESMONDE RD
Sunday 8 - Tuesday 10 June (contingency 11 and 12 June)
* Esmonde Rd westbound between Barrys Point Rd and Akoranga Dr closed each night from 10pm until 5am for guard rail installation and repair.
Esmonde Rd southbound on-ramp will also be closed.
Detours via Barrys Point Rd, Taharoto Rd to Northcote Rd.
Wednesday 11 - Thursday 12 June
* Esmonde Rd eastbound between Akoranga Dr and Barrys Point Rd closed each night from 9pm until 5am for island reconstruction works.
Akoranga Dr eastbound link, Akoranga Dr northbound on-ramp and Fred Thomas Dr southbound will also be closed.
Detours via Northcote Rd, Taharoto Rd and Barrys Point Rd.
If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same time.
Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place. Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
