SH1 Northern Motorway traffic bulletin
Tuesday 3 – Thursday 5 June
Transit New Zealand advises motorists of the following upcoming closures for work on the Northern Motorway (SH1):
ONEWA RD
Thursday 5 June
All motorway lanes southbound between Northcote Rd off-ramp and Onewa Rd on-ramp closed overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for beam placement.
Northcote Rd southbound on-ramp and Esmonde Rd southbound on and off-ramps will also be closed.
Detours via Northcote Rd, Lake Rd and Onewa Rd southbound on-ramp.
Tuesday 3 June (contingency Wednesday 4 June)
Onewa Rd northbound on and off-ramps and southbound on-ramp closed overnight from 10pm until 5am the following morning for traffic switch.
Onewa Rd and Sylvan Ave will also be closed.
Detours via Stafford Rd, Esmonde Rd or Northcote Rd.
TRISTRAM AVE
Tuesday 3 June to Wednesday 4 June
Tristram Ave southbound off-ramp closed each night from 10pm until 5am for crash cushion installation.
Detour via Northcote Rd southbound off-ramp.
If any of the contingency dates are required then all scheduled work will be reviewed to ensure no two consecutive ramps or interchanges are closed at the same time.
Motorists are advised to follow the signposted detours while the closures are in place. Transit New Zealand regrets any inconvenience caused.
