Location of incident: Lower Hutt
Incident type: Train V pedestrian
Police and Fire service staff are currently at the scene of a train V pedestrain fatality on the Upper Hutt line. At approximately 3.30pm a male was hit by a North bound train several hundred metres north of the Epuni railway station. The male was killed instantly. Southbound trains are still operating, however Northbound trains will be effected for up to the next hour. Issued By: Inspector Paul Jermy
