More Arrests In Drug Crackdown

Officers working on Operation Leo executed seven more search warrants in south Auckland this morning and arrested another 10 people, including two women.
All will be appearing in the Manukau District Court over the coming days to face a range of charges including manufacturing and supplying methamphetamine.
Those arrested include:
• a 58 year-old man who is charged with manufacturing methamphetamine
• a 37 year-old woman charged with manufacturing
• a 21 year-old man charged with possession and supply of methamphetamine
• a 30 year-old woman charged with possession of methamphetamine
• a 23 year-old man charged with supplying methamphetamine
• two other men (ages unknown) charged with selling methamphetamine
• three men arrested on existing warrants to arrest for various pre-existing offences or breaching bail
The Armed Offenders Squad was involved with the execution of today's search warrants, along with 80 other Police staff.
This morning's Police activities have seen the recovery of several thousands of dollars worth of methamphetamine and hundreds of dollars of cash.
Officer in charge of the operation, Detective Inspector John Tims, said he's proud of the results his team has achieved so far and is confident they've had a significant impact on the sale and distribution of methamphetamine in and around Auckland.
