Regional Sports Park Open Day and Public Meeting
Hastings District Council is holding an open day and a public meeting as part of the public consultation around the Regional Sports Park proposal.
The Open Day will take place at the site of the proposed park on Percival Road on Saturday 10 May from 10am until 12noon. The public meeting will be held at the Hawke’s Bay Opera House theatre from 5.30pm on Monday 12 May.
Lawrence Yule, Mayor of Hastings District, said it was a good way for people to see the site and the new all-weather athletics track already constructed at the Percival Road site, and to ask questions of the Council and its project managers Kelt Capital Ltd.
“This is people’s chance to find out more about this proposal, what it will mean for the region and how we propose to develop and deliver such a significant project,” said Mr Yule.
The Open Day is weather dependent and will be postponed if conditions are unsuitable.
More information on the proposal and the two events can be found online at www.hastingsdc.govt.nz/rsp.
