Aggravated Robbery Of A Boy In Miramar

Wellington Police are investigating an aggravated robbery of a boy aged 9 years which occurred at a Miramar Primary School in Wellington about 5pm on Monday 21 April.
Detective Sergeant Glenn Williams, Wellington CIB, said the victim was confronted by another boy who held a knife and demanded a Super 14 Rugby card.
Police want to locate and hear from this boy and another who saw the incident.
Today the Police formally interviewed the victim.
The offender is described as: • Male Maori• Between 13 and 14 years of age• About 150 cm tall.• Trim build• Black short hair with it dyed white above each ear running lengthwise down both sides of his head.
The offender was wearing:• A black top.• Black silk basketball shorts with two white stripes down each leg and light blue stripes in the middle.
The family of the child say that their son is dealing well with the situation and want his life to return to normal as soon as possible.
Police advise:
"Inquiries are progressing and a number of people have contacted the Police," Detective Sergeant Williams said. "Police want to speak to the other boy saw the incident and ask him or his family to contact us. We thank members of the public for their help, and those who have expressed concern for the victim."
