Police have today continued the search of the Waimakariri River area. This has involved both Police and volunteers.
From our investigation process and items of property located, the investigation now has a focus in the Waimakariri area.
As yet, we are still to identify and/or eliminate items located from the search in this area and any relevance they may have into the disappearance of Marie Davis.
The investigation team and the family are grateful for all information that has been received and encourages all members of the public to continue with their calls as to their concerns re suspicious activities in the early hours and morning of Sunday 6 April 2008, and any items that are located in areas which they would not normally expect to be there.
Detective Senior Sergeant Le Bas asks that if any members of the public have any information regarding suspicious items of activities to contact the Operation base on 0272711308 or 3637400.
