Win free public transport for a month with MAXX journey planner
Aucklanders who plan their public transport journeys using the recently upgraded MAXX online journey planner could be in to win one month of free public transport use.
Auckland Regional Transport Authority’s General Manager, Customer Services, Mark Lambert says, “The MAXX journey planner makes every public transport trip easy. All you need to do is select your departure and destination locations and when you want to travel. The journey planner can advise you what bus, train or ferry routes are available, and provide times, fares and maps for your trips.
“We’ve recently upgraded the MAXX website to make the journey planner even more intuitive and easier to use. The journey planner now displays even more alternative journeys, shows earlier and later journeys, and can provide you with ticket recommendations and timetables.
“Between now and 7 May, everyone who goes to the MAXX journey planner can go in the draw to win one of 50 Monthly Discovery Passes*, valid for the month of June. This pass is valid for travel around Auckland, and applies to most bus and train services, and some inner city ferry services.
“The journey planner wasn’t the only thing that has recently been enhanced – the entire MAXX website was given an overhaul, taking into account feedback from the public, and making information more accessible and easier to locate.”
Mr Lambert says that over the coming months Auckland’s public transport users can look forward to even more improvements to the MAXX website, with an interactive map expected to be available soon.
The upgraded MAXX website was developed by Brave New World and Propellerhead.
To try out the MAXX journey planner or find out everything you need to know about getting around on buses, trains and ferries visit www.maxxco.nz
* If a potential winner regularly travels on a public transport service that is not covered by the Monthly Discovery Pass, ARTA may supply them with transport tickets for their usual service up to the value of $210.00 (including GST), instead of awarding them the Monthly Discovery Pass.
