Free training for Weet-Bix tryathlon
March 31, 2008
The North Shore Weet-Bix Kiwi Kids Tryathlon is just around the corner and North Shore Leisure want to give you the chance to sneak in some extra training before the big day.
Get down to North Shore Leisure in Birkenhead on April 4 to learn expert tips from the Triathlon New Zealand Coaches who will make sure you’re ready for the competition.
North Shore City’s leisure liaison manager, Kay Lawry, says the free running, swimming and cycle practical workshops are available for kids up to 15 years of age.
“Bring along your running shoes, togs and towel, swim cap, goggles, bike and helmet and be prepared for an afternoon of hard work and fun.
“Spaces are limited so you need to register quickly. All registered kids receive a participation pack with lots of cool prizes and goodies,” says Ms Lawry.
Training starts at 3.30pm on April 4, at North Shore Leisure Birkenhead (Mahara Ave, Birkenhead). To register phone 360 2147.
The North Shore Weet-bix Kiwi Kids Tryathlon will be held on Sunday, April 13 at Narrow Neck Beach Reserve so don’t miss out on your chance to give it a try.
