Media Release from North Shore Police Death of 17 year old boy
North Shore Police confirm that they are investigating the death of a 17 year old Takapuna youth.
The death occurred just over a week ago. The Coroner's Act 2006 prevents details from being released by police, however I appreciate that information with a degree of public concern has already been 'outed' following media reports today and I assure the North Shore community that I will be keeping an eye on developments, I have assigned a small team of very experienced investigators to the case. Police are reminding media of the legal restrictions placed on them under section 71 of the Coroner's Act.
Issued by...... Les Paterson Commander of the North Shore Police Phone 477-5000
