The 11th Hour – free outdoor movie
From 7.45 pm on 29 March the bells of Christchurch Cathedral will ring out across the city heralding the approach of Earth Hour. At 8 pm Mayor Bob Parker will throw the switch on the lights in Cathedral Square, marking the arrival of Earth Hour. This will be followed by a free public screening of the 11th Hour, narrated by Leonardo DiCaprio.
“This film describes humanity’s 11th hour, the last moment when change is possible, exploring how we have arrived at this moment, how we live, how we impact the earth's ecosystems, and what we can do to change our course.”
Running time 91 minutes
