Celebrated Speaker Coming To Christchurch
Internationally acclaimed Bible teacher Joyce Meyer will make a visit to Christchurch in July to support a locally based charitable foundation.
Joyce Meyer has written more than 75 books, broadcasts daily on radio and television to a potential viewing audience of 3 billion people
and leads more than a dozen conferences a year in the United States and abroad. In addition, Joyce Meyer Ministries invests many millions
of dollars each year into worldwide missions efforts.
Joyce has been named one of the most influential evangelical leaders of America and holds both earned and honorary doctorates and degrees
from various American universities.
Christchurch businesswoman Heather Brown founded and directs Girltalk, a women’s networking organisation, from which has grown the charitable
Girltalk Foundation. Heather says she has long dreamed of bringing Joyce Meyer to Christchurch.
“Joyce is an inspirational woman of faith, whose work reaches men and women right around the globe,” she says. “In addition to her daily broadcasts,
Joyce’s ministry provides more than 11 million meals a year in poverty-stricken areas of America and remote parts of the world. To date, she has
distributed teaching and care packages to more than 1.5 million prison inmates, funds 49 orphanages and has raised millions of dollars for disaster relief.
“I am thrilled Joyce has agreed to come speak here in July. Earlybird ticket sales are very encouraging and reinforce popular opinion the Westpac Arena
will sell out when Joyce comes to town.
“The event will further the work of the Girltalk Foundation, whose work, both nationally and internationally, is very much in keeping with Joyce’s ministries.”
