The annual NEWTOWN FESTIVAL will fill the streets of one of the city's most vibrant suburbs from the NEWTOWN FAIR DAY taking place on SUNDAY 2 MARCH. This year the entertainment extends into the evening on the main stage which has been relocated to accommodate expected crowds and the later show times
One of the first events of the Festival is the Culture Jam show in Newtown School at 6.30pm. They’re spontaneous, they’re fun. Culture Jam gives young people an opportunity to showcase their talents – join us to celebrate the amazing diversity of youth. There’s bands, dancers, singers, multicultural groups and more.
Performers include Rosita Vai, The Mission Choir, Controlled Chaos, Cook Island Drumming and more
Brought to the Festival by City Communities, Wellington City Council
