Civic Honour Awards 2007
The Hastings District Council Civic Honour Awards Ceremony for 2007 is being held on Wednesday 27 February in the Council Chambers at 7pm.
Nominations have been made for individuals or various ages, groups and youths.
Nominees include:
• RNZ Plunket Society
• Society of St Vincent De Paul
• Mr Kim Nilsson, Waimarama Surf Life Saving Club
• Mr Murray Jones, Hawke's Bay Voluntary Rescue Squad
• Mrs Marie Palmer, Cranford Hospice
• Mrs Kay Whelan, Hawke's Bay Restorative Justice
• Mrs Raewyn Ricketts, Kiwi Conservation Club, and Forest and Bird
• Miss Mavis Mardon, Stroke Foundation
• Kerry Dangers, Riding for the Disabled
• Kathryn Stewart, St James Anglican Church
• Samuel Kerins, St Johns College
• Laura Lincoln, Toastmasters International
The guest speaker for the evening awards is Mr Murray Douglas, who has recently been appointed Chief Executive for Hawke's Bay Chamber of Commerce.
Entertainment will be provided by the Lindisfarne College Jazz Band.
