Nominations are in for Avondale/Roskill
Eight candidates have been nominated for the Avondale/Roskill by-election, which is due to be held on Wednesday, 9 April following the death of Councillor Linda Leighton in late 2007.

Catherine Farmer (City Vision)
Stephen Greenfield (Independent)
Feleti Key (Community First)
Mohammad Tauqir Khan (Residents Action Movement)
John Lister (Citizens & Ratepayers)
John Williams (Independent)
Voting documents for the by-election will be posted to the 63,000 electors of the Avondale/Roskill ward from Tuesday, 18 March.
Voting documents can be returned by post or hand delivered to the electoral office, Independent Election Services Limited, Ground Floor, Bledisloe House, 24 Wellesley Street West, from Tuesday, 18 March.
The electoral office must receive all votes by noon, Wednesday, 9 April. A person can apply to enrol as either a residential or ratepayer elector up to and including Tuesday, 8 April – the day before the close of voting.
