Romance and Racing at Twilight – Ellerslie hosts Auckland’s hottest Valentines Party.
Valentine’s Day begins at Ellerslie, with the last of the summer’s Lindauer Twilight Summer Series, on the eve of the year’s most romantic day.
On February 13, Ellerslie will be transformed for Auckland’s ultimate valentine’s party, as the scene is set for boy meets girl. Punters will be greeted with gifts of heart shaped chocolates, and with cupid in the air will be sent out to ‘meet their match’.
One of Auckland’s most popular singles events companies has booked Ellerslie for the night. Roberta Tills, owner of The Group, believes the Twilight Racing format Ellerslie has created is a great concept for singles to get out and meet other like minded young professionals.љ
“As a well respected singles Events Company we pride ourselves on offering our clients fantastic, fun opportunities to meet other people. The informality of the Twilight’s format offers a relaxed evening environment that’s less intimidating than many other “first date” venues,” she said.
The prizes for the best dressed will echo the romantic theme. Romantic attire will be the flavour of the evening and the best dressed girl and guy will each win $1,000 worth of Graeme Thomson Jewellery. Punters who are lucky enough to ‘meet their match’ on course will also be showered in romantically themed gifts. љ
The action starts at 4.40pm, with 6 races in a fast paced format. Once the action on track is done the band will take over, kicking the party into the night.
Tickets for the Lindauer Garden Party are available from $30 per person. Visit www.ellerslie.co.nz to purchase tickets or see other hospitality options.
The next big race day is Saturday 16 February, as Ellerslie is transformed in festive spirit to celebrate the Chinese New Year. Then, prepare yourself for New Zealand’s biggest racing carnival as Ellerslie Celebrates Auckland Cup Week from 1 March till 8 March.
