Its just cricket at Hamilton City Libraries
Posted On: Monday, 11 February 2008
Hamilton City Libraries patrons have the opportunity to get up close and personal with their favourite State Northern
Knights at several community libraries this week.
On Friday, 15 February from 10.30am-11.30am, members of the State Northern Knights will be visiting Chartwell, Dinsdale,
Glenview, Hillcrest and St Andrews community libraries. The Knights will be reading to school children, talking to
library patrons and making themselves available for questions.
The State Northern Knights' visits to the city's community libraries build on their presence at the libraries last year
as part of the nationwide Inspire Me campaign, which positioned public libraries as being inspirational, modern and fun.
Hamilton City Libraries director Faye Clark says that it is a privilege to have the State Northern Knights return to the
community libraries and testament to the strong profile that Hamilton City Libraries has achieved as a positive
community focal point.
"At Hamilton City Libraries, we're committed to continually diversifying our offer to patrons and the opportunity for
the public to interact with local cricket celebrities adds a further dimension to this.
"Throughout the Inspire Me campaign, the State Northern Knights were popular and entertaining visitors to the libraries
and we're thrilled to welcome them back this year. The Knights' eagerness to return to our community libraries is
testament to the recognition of Hamilton City Libraries as a popular place for the community to gather and enjoy fun,
contemporary activities."
